Your First Step with VPS (Virtual Private Servers)
 

When ordering a VPS, if using a Credit Card you account will be active within 10 minutes of successfull payment. At this point the server is installing your OS and software to your VPS, this information will be relayed to you via e-mail once done (appx 10 minutes). Note: VPS use the DNS and MAIL servers of Floportal.com, you do not need to install these services on your VPS.

Accessing Your VPS Via SSH

If you are not familiar with SSH we advise to read documentation on the operating system ahead of time.

Once the setup of the VPS is done (appx 10 min) Floportal will send you the IP address and the temporary password for the server for your access. All of our servers are behind Cisco Firewalls if any service that you are trying to use is being denied by our firewall please contact our technical support immidiatley with the Port Numer you would like opened with The IP address of your VPS server..

For accessing your VPS we recomend using PUTTY a Free software.
